Antenna Finder: Panorama Antennas by Router
Most cellular routers perform only as well as their antennas. Find your router below to see the Panorama antennas that match its connectors, then pick the mount that suits the vehicle or building.
How to choose
- Match the cellular element count. A 4x4 MIMO router (R1900, R980, E-series, W1850) needs four cellular elements to reach full speed. A 2x2 router (R920, S-series) needs two.
- Add Wi-Fi and GPS only if the router has those connectors. Extra leads on an antenna you cannot connect add cost without benefit.
- Pick the mount. Roof domes and shark fins give the best signal on a vehicle. Covert units mount inside on the dash or glass. Desk and window antennas suit offices; wall, mast, and directional panels suit buildings in weak-signal areas.
- Check connectors and cable length. Cradlepoint cellular and GNSS ports are SMA and Wi-Fi ports are RP-SMA. Where a Panorama antenna offers connector options, choose SMA Male. Plan cable length for the run from antenna to router.
In-vehicle 5G routers (4x4 MIMO, Wi-Fi, GPS)
These routers ship without antennas and need cabled external antennas on every port: four cellular, two Wi-Fi, and one GNSS.
In-vehicle and rugged LTE routers (2x2 MIMO, Wi-Fi, GPS)
Two cellular, two Wi-Fi, and one GNSS connector. The R920 ships without antennas.
Rugged LTE router without Wi-Fi (2x2 MIMO, GPS)
Two cellular connectors and one GNSS connector.

IoT routers for kiosks and cabinets (2x2 MIMO)
Two cellular connectors. An external antenna helps most when the router is inside a metal enclosure.
Branch routers and 5G adapters (4x4 MIMO, fixed site)
Four SMA cellular connectors. Most of these ship with paddle antennas; an external antenna moves signal pickup to a window or outside wall.
