The Panorama Sharkee kit puts 5G cellular, GPS/GNSS and optional Wi-Fi in an OEM-style sharkfin housing that looks like it belongs on the vehicle. It suits fleet, transit and public safety vehicles that run a 2x2 MIMO cellular router and need a discreet, single-hole roof install.

The two cellular elements cover 617-960 and 1710-6000 MHz with peak gain of 5 to 9 dBi depending on band. The active GPS/GNSS antenna supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou with a 26 dB LNA and filtering for LTE Band 13/14. Panorama states the antenna performs similarly on metallic and non-metallic panels, and the housing is rated IP66.

Two configurations are offered. The SH-IN2617 kit pairs the SHKG-6-60-DW antenna (2x2 cellular, 2x2 Wi-Fi 6, GPS) with a full set of 5 m extension cables, for five connections. The SH-IN2616 kit pairs the SHKG-6-60 antenna (2x2 cellular and GPS, no Wi-Fi) with 5 m cables, for three connections.

What is the difference between the SH-IN2617 and SH-IN2616?
Both kits use the Sharkee housing with two 4G/5G cellular elements and an active GPS/GNSS antenna, and both include 5 m extension cables. The SH-IN2617 adds two Wi-Fi 6 elements for five connections. The SH-IN2616 has three connections and suits routers without Wi-Fi antenna ports or installs that do not need vehicle Wi-Fi.

Is this a 4x4 MIMO antenna?
No. The Sharkee provides 2x2 MIMO cellular, meaning two cellular elements. That matches routers with two cellular antenna ports. If your router has four cellular ports and you want 4x4 MIMO throughput, the Panorama Dual Sharkee or Reef Sharkee kits carry four cellular elements in a similar sharkfin housing.

Do I need a metal roof?
Panorama states the Sharkee can be fitted on a metallic or non-metallic panel and still offer similar performance. It mounts through a single 19 mm (3/4 inch) hole, which reduces drilling, installation time and visible impact on the vehicle. The housing is rated IP66 for exterior use.

Which satellite systems does the GPS support?
The active GPS/GNSS antenna receives GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou signals across the 1562-1612 MHz range. It has a 26 dB low-noise amplifier and advanced filtering for LTE Band 13/14 operation, designed to minimize potential in-band interference in vehicles that run those bands.
