Panorama SHKG-6-60-DW Antenna with MIMO 5G LTE (617 to 6000 MHz), MIMO WiFi 6 & GPS

The SHKG-6-60-DW Sharkee combination antenna brings 5G capability to automotive and transportation applications. It’s ideal for police cars, ambulances, trucking fleets, and mass transit buses. The Sharkee is the most advanced 5G LTE antenna for mobile cellular routers and is compatible with the Ericsson Cradlepoint IBR900 and IBR1700 series.

Five antennas are integrated into a single, rugged sharkfin-style housing. The ultra-wideband 2x2 MIMO cellular elements cover all 5G LTE global frequencies (617 to 6000 MHz), including LTE band 71 (617 to 698 MHz). The cellular antennas are highly efficient with greater than 12 dB of isolation, and they offer 5 to 9 dBi peak gain depending on the frequency in use. In addition, the SHKG-6-60-DW adopts up to 2x2 MIMO WiFi 6 supporting 2.4, 5.0, and 7.1 GHz networks. The GPS/GNSS module has advanced noise filtering and works with GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, and Galileo satellite systems.

The rugged dome is manufactured from heavy-duty plastic for extra durability. It includes a boot-mount gasket for better sealing and conductive pads on the underside for superior grounding. It may be placed on a metallic or non-metallic surface, and there is no significant impact on the antenna’s overall RF performance if the antenna cannot be tied to a ground plane. The radome mounts through a single hole drilled in the vehicle roof and is slim enough to fit between the roof rib lines of most major vehicles. The SHKG-6-60-DW carries a stringent IP69K test certificate, assuring it resists water and dust for safe operation outdoors.

The antenna includes 1-foot RF cables; however, this length is often too short for most installations, particularly vehicles. So for longer cables, consider the SH-IN2617 antenna kit which includes this SHKG-6-60-DW antenna and 5-meter long cables (one cable for each antenna element) terminating with SMA connectors.

The SHKG-6-60-DW is the antenna body itself—the same ultra-wideband 5G Sharkee shark-fin housing—without the long extension cable set. It ships with short 1-foot (approximately 30 cm) pig-tail cables. The SH-IN2618 is the corresponding kit that includes this antenna plus 5-meter (15-foot) cables for vehicle installation. Choose the SHKG-6-60-DW when you have your own cable infrastructure or need only the antenna head, and choose SH-IN2618 when you need a complete ready-to-install kit.

How is the SHKG-6-60-DW mounted?
The SHKG-6-60-DW mounts through a single hole in the vehicle roof or panel. It includes a boot-mount gasket for superior sealing and conductive pads on the underside for RF grounding. It performs on both metallic and non-metallic surfaces. A temporary magnetic mount adapter (Panorama SAB-254) is available separately for test-driving and site surveys.
