The Panorama MiMo Reef Sharkee is a sleek, low sharkfin antenna for police, fire and fleet vehicles that need 4x4 MIMO cellular without a tall roof profile. At 52 mm (2 in) high, Panorama notes it can comply with certain state laws on light-bar obscuration for police vehicles.

Four 4G LTE / 5G NR elements cover 698-960 and 1427-4900 MHz. The GP-IN2850 adds two Wi-Fi 6E elements covering 2.4-7.125 GHz, and an L1 GPS/GNSS module with a 26 dB LNA. A whip position accepts a single, dual or tri-band whip for VHF, UHF and 700/800 MHz radio. The housing is rated IP69K and mounts through a 3/4 in (M18) hole.

Two configurations are offered. The GP-IN2850 kit has four cellular elements, two Wi-Fi 6E elements and GPS (seven connections, eight with a radio whip) and includes 5 m extension cables. The GP-IN2882 option has no Wi-Fi elements.

FAQ

How tall is the Reef Sharkee?
The Reef Sharkee is 52 mm (2 inches) high when mounted, 365 mm long and 60 mm wide. Panorama notes that this low height can help police vehicles comply with certain state laws regarding light-bar obscuration. The height excludes any radio whip you add to the whip position.

Can I add a radio whip?
Yes. The whip position accepts a single, dual or tri-band whip operating across VHF, UHF and 700/800 MHz, and is rated up to 60 W through an FME plug. The whip is not included. Installations that use a whip require the antenna to be mounted on a conductive ground plane such as a metal roof.

Which cellular bands does it cover?
The four cellular elements cover 698-960 MHz and 1427-4900 MHz, which includes most LTE bands and the 3.5 GHz, C-band and other mid-band 5G frequencies. It does not cover the 617-698 MHz Band 71 range or frequencies above 4.9 GHz, so confirm your carrier bands.

What is the difference between GP-IN2850 and GP-IN2882?
The GP-IN2850 kit includes four cellular elements, two Wi-Fi 6E elements and GPS, plus 5 meter extension cables. The GP-IN2882 option does not include the Wi-Fi elements. Choose GP-IN2882 if your router has no Wi-Fi antenna ports or you do not need vehicle Wi-Fi.
