InHand IR315 Industrial 4G LTE Cat 6 Router, 5-Port, Dual SIM, DIN-Rail

The InHand IR315 is a multi-port industrial LTE router for sites where one cellular link has to serve several wired devices: a cabinet with a PLC, an HMI, a camera, and a serial meter, or an EV charging station with multiple controllers. Five 10/100 Ethernet ports with 1.5 kV isolation replace the small switch you would otherwise add.

It runs LTE Cat 6 with dual Nano-SIM failover, offers either an RS-232 plus RS-485 pair or four configurable digital I/O lines, and can be ordered with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and GNSS positioning. Hardware and software watchdogs, a metal fanless enclosure, and -35°C to +70°C operation make it suitable for unattended field communication, and Device Manager handles fleets from the cloud.

Choosing a configuration

• Base ships with 4x configurable digital I/O. Add -S to get RS-232 + RS-485 instead of I/O.
• WLAN adds 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
• -G adds multi-constellation GNSS for location reporting on vehicles or mobile assets.

IR315 vs. IR302 vs. IR624

FAQ

Is the IR315 5G?
No. The IR315 is LTE Cat 6 (up to 300 Mbps). For 5G in the same DIN-rail form factor, see the IR624.

Which carriers work?
The FF39 North American model is certified on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Use your own Nano-SIMs; both slots can hold different carriers for failover.

How is it managed?
Through InHand Device Manager for batch configuration, firmware, and signal reporting, with optional InConnect for remote access. Ask RCN about current platform terms.

Can RCN monitor and support it after purchase?
Yes. RCN's U.S.-based 24/7 NOC can monitor and support InHand deployments as a managed service, quoted separately from the hardware.

How long does it take to ship?
InHand hardware ships direct from the manufacturer's U.S. distribution. Lead times vary by model and quantity; ask us for a current estimate before you order if timing is critical.
