The InHand FWA12 is a fixed-location 5G router for small and mid-size business sites that need primary or backup internet without waiting on a wired circuit. It is the unit to put behind the register at a branch, a clinic, a restaurant, or a school annex.

It carries a Release 16 5G modem, Wi-Fi 7 for up to 128 wireless clients, two 2.5 GbE ports, and three SIM positions (two hot-swap Nano-SIM plus eSIM) for carrier redundancy. A one-click POS-Ready mode prioritizes payment traffic when the link is congested, and InCloud Manager handles zero-touch provisioning across many sites. It is fanless and has no battery, so it is built for 24/7 duty on a shelf or wall.

FAQ

What is POS-Ready mode?
A one-click traffic policy that identifies payment and transaction traffic and gives it priority over everything else on the link, so checkout keeps working even when guest Wi-Fi or video is saturating the connection.

Does it need a battery or UPS?
The FWA12 has no internal battery. If you need the router to survive a power outage, put it on a small UPS alongside your switch and POS.

Which carriers can I use?
The North American model (FWA12-NANR) is certified on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Use your own SIMs in the two Nano-SIM slots; the eSIM adds a third profile.

How is it managed?
Through InHand InCloud Manager, with zero-touch provisioning, centralized configuration, and monitoring. Ask RCN about current InCloud licensing terms for your deployment.

Can RCN monitor and support it after purchase?
